How to get the most for your money at the EPCOT FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL!!!!

The 206 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is starting in just a few weeks on September 14 and running through November 14!  This time of year is the perfect time for an adults getaway to Walt Disney World!!!   There are so many wonderful things to taste and drink around Epcot during the festival!   If you are a foodie or love good wine (OR BOTH) this is an absolute must do for you!  (If you are a Florida Resident or AP holder, there are some AMAZING deals going on right now for you FYI).   They have special booths all around the World Showcase showcasing special food and beverages from that country!  It really is amazing!   They even have countries not featured in the showcase that have special booths up.   Click HERE for a list of all the countries and what food and beverages they are showcasing this year.

I wanted to share a little tip with you to get the most bang for your buck at the Food & Wine Festival!  I have shared with you before, I am a big believer in the Disney Dining Plan!  Well, for this festival, I actually suggest you adding the QUICK SERVICE DINING PLAN!  This plan includes the following for each guest per night: Rapid Refill Resort mug, 1 snack, and 2 Quick Service meals.   Here is the deal, for each Quick Service Meal on your plan, you can exchange it for 3 snack credits at any of the booths at the countries, but ALL 3 MUST BE AT THAT ONE COUNTRY!

SO FOR EXAMPLE, you and your loved one go to the food wine.  You would each get 1 snack, and 2 quick service meals equaling 6 snack credits for a total of 7 credits each.  You can look at the menu and see what is offered where.   One of you could use your single credit at the Canada booth for the Cheese Soup served with a pretzel roll (FYI I have heard this is AMAZING!  Would be on the top of my list of foods to try!).   Canada only has 2 food options at that booth, so you want to be sure to use the singular one.   Then the other could go to the  Hawaii booth and get the Kalua Pork Slider with Sweet and Sour Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise.  Hawaii also has only two food options. (BONUS TIP!  Whatever you use your singular snack credit for, exchange it for something that is on the higher price range when possible to get the biggest bang for your buck!)  Then, you could go to the Islands of the Caribbean Booth (NEW THIS YEAR!) and exchange your Quick Service Meal Credit for the
  • Mojo Pork with Black Beans, Cilantro Rice, and Pickled Red Onions
  • Quesito: Puff Pastry with Sweetened Cream Cheese and Guava Sauce
  • Jamaican Beef Patty
This booth has 4 food options.  I just picked the three that sounded best to me!  LOL.    The other person could then go over to THE CHEW Collective Booth (another new addition this year, from ABC Studios hit show, THE CHEW) and exchange their first quick service credit for:
  • Grilled Beef Skewer with Romaine, Apricots and Feta Cheese
  • Ricotta and Zucchini Ravioli with Rustic Tomato Sauce
  • Peanut Butter and White Chocolate Mousse with a Caramel Drizzle
You would still each have a quick service credit to trade for 3 more food tastings at two other countries!   If you really love that person, you would share!   That would mean between the 2 of you, you could be tasting 14 different selections per night you stay there!!   For the alcoholic beverages, you would have to pay as alcohol is not included in the dining plans, but that is still an amazing deal!!!!!

If you do not want to look over the entire menu by clicking HERE, here is a list that I would be the most excited about!
