Pixie Dust Required does Dinner at 1900 Park Fare

On our recent Disney Vacation for Spring Break with the kids, we were able to mark a few things off of my Disney Bucket List!  I have always wanted to go to a Character Meal, and we did four!  Out of all of them the one I was most looking forward to and ended up being my favorite was dinner at 1900 Park Fare!  I would go there every single trip if I could!  If you are planning a trip, this is the one reservation I recommend getting above all others!  (It takes one table service credit if you are on the Disney Dining Plan)

It is located at the Grand Floridian Resort on the lower level right to the left when you walk into the main lobby.  (If you are taking the monorail over, which take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and ride the monorail over if staying at another resort, the monorail drops you off at the second level, just take the elevator or stairs down).

We chose to go here on the first night after we checked in to our resort.  The kids at this point still believed we were just staying at the resort, so it was a fun surprise and kick off to our vacation!   When you walk in to check in, they keep it very secretive.   You check in at the desk, then wait in an area where they have a Disney photographer to take pictures.  Once you go behind closed doors, only then do you realize its a Character meal and who the amazing characters are!

As is the case with most character dining experiences, 1900 Park Fare is an all you can eat buffet.  The food here was AMAZING!!!   All was fresh and delicious!  (BONUS!   At buffets, you and your kids have chances to taste foods you may not normally!  We tried to encourage each kid to try something new each time).  The boys especially loved the idea that it was all you can eat!  When eating at any character buffet, they have a buffet with choices geared especially for kids and even at their own height!  However, kids and adults can choose from all foods!  Click HERE to view the menu (they offer Breakfast, Brunch, and Dinner, each different menus....we vote dinner)!
The kids loved the salad and the cold peel and eat shrimp (yes they tasted very fresh and were even de-veined!)

Jeremy was in love with the butternut squash which as SO GOOD!

I love green beans and these were amazing!   I also got their Strawberry Soup (which is a cold sweet soup) that they are famous for, very yummy!   I did not realize this until after, but make sure you ask for the recipe card for it!!!!

The dessert buffet was my favorite of all the buffets we went to!!!   It was SO SO SO GOOD!!!  I tried everything and honestly, I don't even know which one was the best!!

At Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner, they say it typically takes an hour for the characters to make their rounds to your table, I would agree with that time frame!   At this event, you get a chance to meet with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine (stepmother), and Anastasia & Drizella (stepsisters).  At all Character Meals, the characters come around and interact with the guests, sign autographs, and take pictures.  But at this one, you get a TON OF MORE INTERACTION!!!  If you are worried about your boys not enjoying this one because of the "princess", do not!!!   The Stepmother and Sisters are HILARIOUS!!!!!!!   They make jokes, pick on you, and call out to the other characters!  I have sensitive children, and all 4 of our kids were laughing SO much at this dinner!

Anastasia came by first!

She thought boys were icky and was picking on Seth about it.

This facial expression says it all!  LOL

She was so funny!

Once she realized how much she was embarrassing Tyler, she started being a little flirty with him and tried to kiss him!  You can see his face about matches the shade of her dress!   All 4 laughed about this even after she walked away!

Next came Lady Tremaine.  She pretty much was just disgusted she had to be in the room with Cinderella!  LOL

However, when I asked for a picture with just her, she was glad to, she said, "After all, you are the most important of the group!"  LOL

Then came Drizella!
She was EXTREMELY smitten with Tyler and it was HILARIOUS!!

She was probably my favorite character!   Check out Tyler's grin!  LOL

Next Cinderella came!!!
The kids were a bit star struck with her!   She loved Chloe's tiara which made her light up!

All of us were excited to meet Prince Charming (that was actually one of the things on my Disney Bucket List!).  He got so busy though, he forgot to stop by our table!  We told our waitress (who was amazing by the way) and she made sure when he came out after his small break that we were one of the first tables he would visit!  And we were!  He came over and even apologized!

Chloe was having a MAJOR crush on Prince Charming!   She insisted she get his autograph (I forgot the books, oops!) so she got it on a napkin!
That autograph is now a prized possession and she wants to frame it!  LOL

I have to admit, even though I have my own real life Prince Charming, I was pretty smitten to meet this one too!  That's just the way the magic of Disney works!!!!!

After all was said in done, we had full bellies and big smiles!  If you need help making your reservations, be sure to make this one, and ask your Disney Travel Specialist for help!!!
