Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World

We recently had an opportunity to tour the Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World.  This is one of five of the resorts on the Moderate bracket.  I had never visited this resort previously, and I was pleasantly surprised!  They created this resort to make you feel like you had escaped to the Caribbean with the resort being centered around six villages:  Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Martinique, Barbados, Aruba, and Jamaica.  They definitely achieved creating that vibe!  This resort screams tropical paradise and is so peaceful and quiet!

The "six villages" all showcase colonial architecture in vibrant tropical colors!  You could spend a day there just walking around appreciating the beauty of that to be honest!

Old Port Royale is the hub of the resorts featuring shopping and dining!  They also have an AMAZING swimming pool over there.  There are water cannons shooting water out and an amazing  water slide that all ages will be sure to enjoy!

For the little kids, there is an awesome pirate themed kiddie pool area!

They also have outdoor movies here every night as well as daily activities!   They post a schedule to help you not miss out on the times.

Inside the Old Port Royale, there are two options for food.  Shutters is a highly rated restaurant that counts as one table service meal credit if you are on a dining plan.  But they also have an amazing food court there with a ton of choices!

I have to tell you, I have visited a ton of Disney resort food courts, and this one is my favorite one!  They had lanterns strung all over the ceiling that made me feel like I was walking into Rapunzel!  And they had so many different food options to choose from in the food court!  (1 quick service credit if you are on the dining plan).

I got a Mickey Waffle (this is a staple as far as I am concerned!), Bacon, and Strawberry Sauce.
Jeremy got the Breakfast Bounty Planter that had eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, a biscuit, and french toast.
They were both very scrumptious!!!

Behind Old Port Royale is a secret little Island they call Caribbean Cay!
YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!

This island has several different hidden seating areas with benches and rocking glider seats.  Perfect to sit with your loved one and just enjoy their company and the beauty of the resort.

It also has a pretty amazing playground the kids will be sure to love!  I never once saw it crowded either!

Our favorite was the many hammocks in a shaded little area on the island (There are also several hammocks all over the resort).  It was the perfect place to take a little rest with your loved one (or alone if needed!)

All over the entire resort, there are HUNDREDS of the most beautiful tropical flowers!  It truly felt like being in paradise (and all while being at DISNEY WORLD!!)

The jasmine every where made the resort so fragrant and heavenly!

We got a chance to tour one of the rooms in the Jamaica village (yellow buildings).   They were absolutely stunning!  I first noticed the gorgeous light fixtures!

I also fell in love with the doors that separated the bedroom from the bathroom!   They were sliding on a giant rod. It made me decide I want to do this in my own home one day!  It was very elegant!

Each room also contained a mini fridge!  They were very spacious and comfortable!

Did you also know at this resort, you can reserve a Pirate themed room?!?!?   Perfect for your little one (or big ones too lol) who loves Pirates!

Basic Rooms start from $166 per night (excluding tax).   I would definitely recommend you staying at this resort at your next stay!   They have so many options to accommodate anything from a romantic getaway to a girls weekend to a family trip!  This is now one of my favorite resorts!!!!
