10 Reasons to Plan a NO-PARK Day during your Disney Vacation

It is so easy to want to plan every second possible of your Disney vacation at one of their 4 amazing parks, but in doing so, you are missing out on a lot of other wonderful things!  In helping people plan their Disney Vacations, I am more and more suggesting them to plan a day when they are not at the parks!   Here is my list of reasons on why this is most beneficial to you and your family!

1.  MAGICAL EXTRAS:  Did you know when you book your Disney Vacation Package at Disney World for 2016, you qualify for a TON of Magical Extras!?!?!? You can get FREE mini golf as well as a ton of discounts on activities and places to eat and shop! Take some time in the afternoon and go use those mini golf passes. Go to Disney Springs and take your time using those discounts! Read HERE to learn more!

2. ENJOY YOUR RESORT'S ACTIVITIES: Did you know all of the Disney Resorts have a ton of programs they offer through out the day? Each resort has them posted but they can be anything and everything such as crafts, games, smores, outdoor movies, and MORE!

3. SWIMMING POOL: Disney is known for having some of the most amazing swimming pools there are. It is hard to take time to enjoy the magic and fun of them when you are rushing to be in the parks every single second! Kids really appreciate the time to just PLAY!

4. GIVE KIDS SENSES A BREAK: there are many of you who have experienced the full out breakdown that can sometime occur with kids at Disney! Any of you experience the "Main Street Meltdown"? LOL! It happens! We often try to get the most out of our money by squeezing everything we can into every minute. For kids, all the excitement, sounds, sights, and smells can send their senses into overload! You will find if you have kids, taking a day in the middle of your visit will give them time to sleep in, enjoy the resort, and just relax (even if you dont want to admit it, adults need it too!).

5: TAKE ADVANTAGE OF DISNEY'S CHILD CARE SERVICES AND GO ON A DATE JUST YOU TWO: Did you know Disney offer's an array of Child Care Services? They have Children's Activity Centers for ages 3-12 and they also offer in room babysitting! Take advantage of this service and go spend some time just you two! There are so many romantic places to eat all over the Disney World Resort area! And even if you dont want to go to dinner, you can grab drinks or dessert and find a romantic spot to sit and people watch and just enjoy each other's company. There is nothing like being at the Happiest Place on Earth and spending it time with the one you love the most! Click HERE to learn more about their Child Care Services.

6. RESORT HOP: Use this time to resort hop! Go eat at a quick service restaurant in a different resort. Walk around and explore the other resorts! Not only is this fun and relaxing, it gives you ideas of where to stay on your next trip!

7. DISNEY SPRINGS: There is SO much to see and do all over Disney Springs you could truly take one whole day just to explore there! You can go bowling, catch a movie, ride the tethered air balloon, see a Cirque show, eat at an array of restaurants and do a TON of shopping!

8. WATER SPORTS: Many of the resorts (especially the Magic Kingdom ones) have water sports from parasailing, water skiing, boating (boats of many different sizes), canoes, and fishing! Take some time to enjoy this!

9. FORT WILDERNESS: Many people are missing out on a hidden gem! Fort Wilderness is not just for the people who love camping at Disney! Did you know they also offer bicycle riding, pony rides, horseback riding, carriage rides, wagon rides, and even archery!!! This resort is covered in gorgeous trails to explore! I promise you wont regret it!

10. RESORT CHARACTER DINING: A lot of people hate to take time away from the parks and leave to go do a Character Dining Experience. But did you know some of the best Character Dining were at the resorts? Choose a meal on your day off at one of these without feeling like your taking park time away (especially the time it takes traveling to and from one!). I suggest 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian for dinner, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for lunch, or Ohana at the Polynesian for breakfast!
