Disneyland Candy Canes

Did you know that at Disneyland (in California) they make Hand-Crafted Candy Canes? Evidently they are a pretty big deal over there! They alternate making them between Candy Palace on Mainstreet USA in Disneyland and Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure. People get in line sometimes around an hour before the park opens to get a special wristband that allows them to get one wristband which allows them to get one Giant Candy Cane. Each guest has a limit of two wristbands and only 120 wristbands are given out a day on select dates! Each wristband has the date and batch time listed on it, if you do not pick up your Candy Cane by 4pm, your treat goes to someone who else who is waiting on a standby list! (Yes, that is right, there is a stand by waiting list for these Candy Canes!) I am on the East Coast, so one of my sweet friends who lives over there, Lori Dinwiddie, was kind enough to report on it for me!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT THE DISNEYLAND CANDY CANES?
I love what they represent! To me it's family traditions of the holiday season "Disney style".

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PURCHASING THE CANDY CANES?
This is the first year I have bough them. I always say I'm going to get them and well, this was the year!
HOW MANY HAVE YOU PURCHASED IN ALL? WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THEM?
So far one dozen. One will be used for holiday baking (candy cane fudge), several have gone to charity auctions to help raise much needed funds for the Anaheim community, one is on it's way to Indiana (to a very special Disney friend), one will be heading to Florida to a new Disney friend and the rest will be coming out for Christmas morning.
WHAT IS THE EARLIEST AND THE LONGEST YOU HAVE STOOD IN LINE FOR A CANDY CANE?
45 min
HOW MUCH DO THEY EACH COST?
$13
HOW BIG ARE THEY?
14 inches tall!
TELL ME YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY/EXPERIENCE GETTING THESE CANDY CANES?
Standing in line on a cold (i know it's California, but for us it was cold) morning with family and friends at the "Happiest Place On Earth"!
TELL ME ANYTHING ELSE YOU THINK WE SHOULD ALL KNOW ABOUT THESE CANDY CANES:
They smell SOOOO GOOOOD when they are being made! The cast members who distribute the wrist bands make it a fun and special moment.
