MAGIC KINGDOM
This park does the most for Christmas, and has the biggest draw! It is personally my favorite park!
There is something so magical about walking through the gates to see Main Street all decked out and the castle covered in icicle lights ! Nothing beats it!
TREE LIGHTING
There is a tree lighting ceremony that takes place every evening at dusk (between 5:15-5:30)
This time of the year they transform the Jungle Cruise into the Jingle Cruise! This debuted in 2013, expanded with new props this year, and I would not be surprised if they made it even bigger this year because it is such a hit!
SANTA MEET & GREET
There is a daily meet & greet in the Candy Cane Garden, next to City Hall between 10:00am-5:00pm
CASTLE DREAM LIGHTS
If you are not attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you can catch the special show at Dusk from early now until early January. During this show, Queen Elsa uses her powers to transform the castle into a glistening ice palace!
MICKEY'S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY
This event takes a separate ticket (different nights have different rates, approx $69-$89, AP members do receive a discount) and sells out quickly, so get your tickets now if you are planning on going!!! They have approx 3-4 parties per week from November 8-December 18. They offer the following during the parties:
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
- Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks.

- Complimentary cookies, apple slices, and hot cocoa.
- Snow on Main Street, U.S.A.
- Many popular Magic Kingdom attractions with short waits.
MICKEY'S ONCE UPON A CHRISTMASTIME PARADE
This parade is actually part of the Very Merry Christmas Parade, but after December 18, it runs during the daytime. It wont be as magical as it is with all the lights, but still very wonderful! The taping for the parade that airs on ABC will be between November 10-13.
CELEBRATE THE MAGIC! & HOLIDAY WISHES!
This is a show you have to see! I put them together because, well they go together! Nothing beats the magic of Disney's fireworks while decking the castle in holiday attire and playing Christmas music! Words can not describe the magic of this moment!
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
THE OSBORNE FAMILY
SPECTACLE OF DANCING LIGHTS
This is actually an event I have yet to see, but have always wanted to. This is the last year this will be at Disney, and honestly, I could cry! I have heard nothing of many magical memories made at this event! This runs November 6-January 3 so if you can pull it off, you need to see this even before it is gone for good!!! The lighting ceremony occurs nightly around 6:00pm.
EPCOT
Epcot actually has a lot to offer at Christmas and many families make this a tradition! It is especially cool to see all of the different Christmas decorations around the World Showcase!
Candlelight Processional
This is a re-telling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator followed by a mass choir and a 50 piece orchestra. This event happens nightly from November 27-December 30 at 5:00 pm. 6:45 pm, and 8:00 pm. On Facebook when I recently polled readers, many of them said this one of their favorite events! They do have Dinner Packages you can purchase that guarantees you a seat to this event! The Narrators this year are:
- November 27-29 - Gary Sinise
- November 30-December 3 - Neil Patrick Harris
- December 4-5 - Whoopi Goldberg
- December 6-8 - Joe Morton
- December 9-11 - Ana Gasteyer

Joyful! A Gospel Celebration of the Season
This is not an event that has been officially announced as of writing this post, but it has happened several times over the past few years and is a big hit. It is a fun show filled with Christmas gospel music! This usally happens at the Fountain of Nations stage from late November through the end of December. Shows should be 1:15 pm, 2:15 pm, 3:15 pm, and 4:15 pm.
HOLIDAY STORYTELLERS
Throughout the World Showcase, they have different storytellers in region appropriate costumes to tell of that country's holiday traditions! This is a very cool thing to do, and most kids really enjoy it as well! There is also a Santa Meet & Greet from November 29-December 24 at 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7:30 pm in the American Adventures Pavillion.
GINGERBREAD VILLAGE IN THE LAND
Make sure you head over to the Land to see the very impressive Gingerbread Village!! They recreate the Disney Resorts and Park Icons in sweet confections!
