SHADES OF GREEN RESORT
Did you know that Disney has a full very nice resort that is only open to active or retired Military? The Shades of Green Resort is located extremely close to the Magic Kingdom and has so much to offer our veterans! (Check out the eligibility HERE). It is nestled between two championship golf courses which not only is great for the golfer, but it is GORGEOUS! Shades of Green happens to be the only Armed Forces Recreation Center located in the Continental United States! HOW COOL IS THAT!?!? This resort has 583 rooms that can sleep up to 5 people and they also have a Wounded Warrior Suite and 23 AA rooms! The rooms and the hallways are the most spacious of all the Walt Disney World Resorts. Military Members can also purchase discounted park tickets (to Disney, Universal, and Sea World!) there. Once they return from their busy day, guests can dine at their two restaurants, in which both kids always eat free! You can also end your day swimming in their two amazing pools! (That slide would be a hit with any guests!)
This a truly stunning resort with so many wonderful accommodations! They often have special events going on they are offering too! ACCESS TO A VIP LOUNGE!
Did you know that there is a VIP Lounge at Epcot? ME EITHER!!! It is actually underneath Spaceship Earth! Military (active and retired) can ask for an access card at Shades of Green! It also has a special back door entrance to the Spaceship Earth attraction! Look at the pics inside this swanky lounge!
