Amazing Disney Letter Art by Totally Disney!

I love supporting small business and I love sharing with you Disney Inspired artists I find on my journey.    However, every now and then I find something so cool I can not wait to share it with you!   Totally Disney is ran by a guy who refers to himself as "Disney Dude".   He is a pretty cool guy who makes the coolest art work using different letters he has photographed all over the Disney Parks!!!   When I first saw all he makes in his Etsy Store, I was mesmerized!   I had always loved letter photography I had seen at different art fairs, but to use Disney Letters was exciting!   I had him create one for my son Seth!

He was so nice to work with!    He added Established 2006 (Seth's birth year) and because Seth had 4 letters in his name, I also asked him if he would mind putting the park Icon above where each letter was found!   Seth can not wait to go to the parks now and look to see if he can find his letters!!!!!

When he found out how much my family loves to hunt for Hidden Mickeys, he also sent us the coolest Hidden Mickey poster he made!!!!   The kids are constantly staring at it and are hoping they can find the ones in the poster when they go too!

For both of these, I went to Walmart and just got a basic frame until I am able to go get nice frames for them!  It costs me around $3 and keeps them protected and easier to hang on the walls!

As I stated earlier, Disney Dude is a pretty rad guy!   His prices are already reasonable, but for all my lovely Pixie Dust Readers, if you use the code PIXIEDUST10 you get an additional 10% off!!!    Then to top it off because he is such a cool guy, every piece of art you buy, a portion of it goes to my blog builder fund!   So now you will be supporting TWO small business with every purchase you make!

He has so many different types to choose from, it makes the perfect gift for any Disney Fan!   Christmas, Weddings (Do their last name or check out the Couple art!), Birthdays, or just to help build excitement and hype for your upcoming trip!

I had a blast interviewing him!   He is a totally rad dude!

DO YOU TAKE ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHS YOURSELF?
I take all the photos myself, and the photos I use span all the way back to 1999, the year I got my first "real" digital camera.

DID YOU FIND ALL THE HIDDEN MICKEYS IN YOUR HIDDEN MICKEY ART?
I am always on the lookout for Hidden Mickeys. I DO NOT refer to the many versions of the Hidden Mickey guide books that are out there; what's the fun in that? The sad news is that there are a number of Hidden Mickeys that no longer exist in the real world (Toontown, for example, is greatly missed). However, every new attraction or reworking of a classic brings new opportunities for new discoveries. The Imagineers are working overtime to find clever new ways to incorporate (hide) Mickey into their latest endeavors.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO DO THE DIFFERENT LETTERS THROUGHOUT THE PARK?
Wish I could say it was an original idea, but a few years back there was a rage around "letter art;" taking objects and places out of context and using them as abstract letters. For example a tree that looks like a "T" or a window in a building that looks like an "O" or the Eiffel Tower being used as an "I" and so on; then composing them into a name, word or phrase. I made a gift for a Disney friend using actual letters from around Disney World (as compared to things that looked like letters) and the rest, as they say, is history.
I love the Princess Art!   You can include your own picture! And check out that background!

ANY NEW DESIGNS IN THE WORKS?
I do have a few ideas, but just haven't found the time to pull them all together. I guess I just have more fun taking the pictures.

I am also a big Route 66 fan and use every opportunity to travel the old road. This past summer I was able to take the 2448 mile trip from Chicago to Santa Monica, CA with a detour south to Anaheim to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Disneyland on July 17th, 2015. I am still going though all the pics from that trip. Something big is coming, I can feel it!

DO YOU HAVE ANY FUN CUSTOMER STORIES YOU WANT TO SHARE?
Check out the reviews on my site and you will get some idea of how people react. My favorites would have to be this one (for obvious reasons):

"Thank you so much for sending me a proof the next day even with it being a holiday weekend. The print was a birthday gift for my mother to commemorate our family vacations to Disney World, and I can say in all honesty that she cried! She was so thrilled. She'd always wanted letter art, and to have it personalized to her "Happiest Place on Earth" was just too much I guess :) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Great experience and product!"

It isn't everyday you make someone cry tears of joy.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET TO VISIT DISNEY YOURSELF?
I am born and bred Chicago but for the past 8 winters I have been very lucky to have spent them near Disney World. This allows me to get there quite often (at least twice a week, sometimes more – one of the perks of being an Annual Pass Holder). Last winter I went over 60 times. I've only been back a couple weeks and have already been 5 times.
I love these memory collages he does!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DISNEY MEMORY?
It was the picture I never got. I was walking the Magic Kingdom one day when I heard a little girl of about 8 or 9 in a princess dress saying, "Hurry, we've got to get to Cinderella before she leaves," turning to see her tugging at her father's hand to move a little faster. A scene repeated thousands of times daily, I'm sure. However, this one was truly unique, for her father was a classic Hell's Angel Biker Dude covered in tattoos, wearing leathers, sporting a long beard, etc. all topped off with classic Mickey ears. Fear got the best of me and before I could gather my courage, they were gone. I spent the rest of the day looking for them to no avail.
I am LOVING the Wedding Letter Art!  Notice you can include your own Disney Wedding or Disney Honeymoon Picture in it!

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DISNEY CHARACTER AND WHY?
Mickey, of course! He is a non-conformist, smart alec who does not suffer fools well, has very little tolerance for the status quo (especially when it makes little sense) and is not shy when it comes to standing his ground. He is the alter ego we all wish we could be more like.

I seriously urge you to go to his Etsy Store at https://www.etsy.com/shop/TotallyDisney and check out not just the artwork I shared, but many of his other pieces too!
