So this year for Christmas, we wanted to really give the gift of memories!
With our oldest son being a freshman in high school, being a blended family (we get every other spring break with the kids), and the two youngest kids both heading into middle school, we felt that this was THE YEAR we just had to do a Disney Cruise! Time goes by SO FAST with kids. I know its a cliche thing to say, and everyone says it, but you don't realize the magnitude of how fast until you hit the teens and realize you only have a little time left.
To present our present, we had to do a LOT of planning!! We got some pirate costume stuff on sale right after Halloween. We also got some T-Shirt Iron ons from one of our favorite vendors, Two Hearts Designs (each shirt had a Mickey or Minnie anchor with their name), and packed it all up in a big box! We wrapped it up in Disney wrapping paper of course, LOL. We made them sit together and as they opened the box, we played a video of the horns that the Disney Dream (our ship) plays.
I LOVED our kids reactions!!!!!
Our cruise will set sail the beginning of March! Between now and then, we will be doing a series of blog posts all about the Disney Cruise Line!!!
